SEEKING CPO BOARD NOMINATIONS, PARENT ACTION TEAM VOLUNTEERS and YOUR IDEAS!
Planning has already begun for the 2017-2018 school year and CMS has always enjoyed tremendous involvement, support and creativity from our parent community. If you are interested in getting involved as a Crestview Parent Organization (CPO) Board member, serving on an Action Team (aka "committee,") or proposing a new CPO-supported idea/activity/event, please read below for more details.
CPO Board Nominations
According to CPO Bylaws, Article VII - Officers and Their Election, Section 3: Independent nominations with the consent of the nominee, may be made in writing by at least five voting CPO general members, and must be received by the CPO Executive Board. To practice Habit 1: Be Proactive, we are accepting these nominations in writing now through Thursday, March 9, 2017.
CPO Action Team Volunteers
If a CPO Board role isn't for you but you're interested in getting involved on a CPO Action Team either as a Team Lead or a volunteer, please check out the many opportunities via this link
to learn more.
Ideas for CPO Action
We believe in a culture of shared leadership at CMS and welcome your ideas for CPO-sponsored activities, events, etc. that will benefit the CMS school family. As we go into the CPO budget planning process for next year, we invite you to submit your idea as a summary of the benefit to Crestview, potential volunteer and budget needs, etc. And while we'd love to pursue every idea proposed, time and resources won't permit for pursuing all so your idea will be reviewed by the CPO Board and the decision will be shared with you by the end of the current school year.
Please submit all CPO Board nominations, recommendations and ideas to CPO President, Jen Thomas, at email@example.com by Thursday, March 9, 2017.
