“Got Your Backpack” program needs your help!

groceries.jpgWant to get involved as a volunteer but not sure how? The Backpack program at Ellisville provides specific grocery and toiletry items (i.e. cereal, macaroni, tuna, etc.) to our school families in need. Donated items will be organized in backpacks and sent home with children of school families. This is a once a month request (with a special collection for a Thanksgiving meal). You can sign up for whatever you are comfortable with bringing. We could always use more volunteers (the more the merrier!)

Please contact Nicole Vandesteeg (njvandesteeg@gmail.com or 314-651-5817) if you would like to participate in the Got Your Backpack program.  Thank you for continually helping our Ellisville family!

Here are a few ways to help support Ellisville Elementary PTO with purchases you are already making

Use the Amazon Smile site for all your purchases made on Amazon.  Use your existing Amazon login (no new login required) at the amazon smile web address below and shop as usual.  Be sure to select the Ellisville Elementary School PTO as your “supporting” school the first time you use the site.  After that, use the smileamazon.com URL with your normal login to shop and earn money for the PTO!  Remember, only purchases using the smileamazon.com URL will support Ellisville Elementary.  Last year we earned $90 in cash donations from Amazon!

2.  Schnucks eScrip card – Earn money each time you shop for groceries.  Getting started with the My Schnucks Card program is easy.  Once you sign up, you earn up to 3% of your purchase amount for your favorite school or nonprofit.  Last year we earned $270 in cash donations from Schnucks!

Earning is Easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Stop in at Schnucks and pick up a My Schnucks Card.
  2. Register your card online at escrip.com/schnucks or by calling 1-800-931-6258.  Designate the Ellisville Elementary PTO as your school.
  3. Scan your card each time you check out with your groceries.

3.  Clip and save your Box Tops for Education coupons all year long.  Collections take place every Fall and Spring!  Last year we earned $1,124 in cash donations from the Box Tops program!

Thank you for taking the time to set up these wonderful programs that benefit our school!  Your efforts go to support the PTO which provides several wonderful things for all of our Ellisville Tigers including:
