Blog update, September 2018-19

Hello again Wildcat families!

We have had a outstanding start to the 2018-19 school year, 6th grade students have adjusted to middle school wonderfully, 7th graders have transitioned smoothly into their new classrooms and teachers, and 8th grade students have already stepped into leadership roles such as the WEB assembly.    We could not be more proud of how our Wildcat students have shown great character and PRIDE.  I am extremely lucky to get to be a part of this Wildcat family and work with such amazing kids each and every day!

And speaking of PRIDE, if you have the opportunity to speak with your child about our PRIDE expectations, please start that converstation with them when.  We have taken the "Walk the Wildcat Way" touchstone to a new level, and helped to create a more clear and concise method to show our students what that looks like at LaSalle Springs.  Teachers have conducted daily discussions with students throughout the start of school, and we will reinforce these expectations as the year progresses.  This link will provide additional information:

As September gets into full swing, our school calendar will fill up with a wide variety of school events and student activies, please be sure to check out the link on our school web page as well.

Have a great September!!!

Welcome Wildcats to the 2018-19 school year!

Hello Wildcats,

It is wonderful to begin another school year at LaSalle Springs.  Each year brings great excitement, hope, and growth for all of our students and staff alike.  I consider myself very fortunate to be able to interact with wonderful students, staff, parents, and community members.  I look forward to another year of working together to help every student realize their potential.

During this school year, you will notice a recurring message from our staff, that we are "Champions" for our students.  We wish to create a school environment where every student feels they have an adult in the building they have developed a strong and supportive connection to, and can help provide guidance through this middle school period.

This simple but powerful theme provides focus for our work as educators with our students, peers, and community.   Everyone at LaSalle Springs firmly believes that we will do whatever it takes to help all of our students.  As an educator, I will continued to strive to be a champion for all of our Wildcat students, to keep their excitement for learning alive, encourage them to reach their goals, and help every student grow to become wonderful young leaders and community members.

Thank you for sending us the very best in your children every day, and let's have a GREAT 2018-19 school year!  #LaSallePRIDE
