Message from Rockwood Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost

I'm so proud of all the efforts to innovate teaching and learning in our school district. I strongly believe learning becomes much more meaningful to all students when we give them opportunities to create and share an end-product. Innovative learning, experiential learning, invention learning, real-time or real-life learning... these are all powerful ways for students to acquire meaningful knowledge.

Our primary mission and purpose is to help all kids thrive in the world. As a lifelong educator, there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing kids who enjoy learning. Connecting learning to the real world, while allowing kids to critically think through problems, can yield lasting and applicable knowledge. As an educational leader, it is my intent to continue identifying, providing and supporting innovative learning opportunities for all our students. I hope you enjoy this video that highlights innovation in Rockwood. - Rockwood Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost
