During the April 12 meeting, Rockwood Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost administered the oath of office to Rockwood Board of Education members Tamara Rhomberg, Jaime Bayes and Matt Doell.
In addition, the School Board elected Loralee Mondl as president and Lynne Midyett as vice president.
"I'm proud of our School Board and our service to the students and families of this great district," says Board President Mondl. "Our goal is to work hard every single day to make sure our kids are given the best education possible."
About the Rockwood School Board
Rockwood Board members are public servants who are elected by local constituents. They do not receive compensation for their efforts. Key roles and responsibilities of the Board are to:
- Hire and evaluate the superintendent and delegate all administrative responsibilities.
- Approve the school district's budget.
- Adopt and evaluate policies.
A School Board is a governmental body so it can take action only by a majority vote at a legally called public meeting.

Note: In accordance with §115.124 RSMo, the Rockwood School District did not hold an election for the three-year terms for School Board Members this year because the number of candidates who filed was equal to the number of positions to be filled.
