Members of the Rockwood community turned out to Summit High School, Saturday afternoon and evening for the 2019 Rockwood “Re-Lei” for Life. The theme, this year, was Hawaiian.
The annual cancer cure fund-raiser has donated more than $1-million for the American Cancer Society since 2000. Volunteer teams raised more than $60,000, this year.
Organizers said more than 200 people pre-registered for the event on 34 teams. Annie Martino is a Rockwood parent and long-time Relay for Life supporter.
“Our hope is to continue to raise money to support people who have cancer and help the American Cancer Society find a cure,” said Martin.
