Jordan Romero, author of No Summit Out of Sight: the Youngest
Person to Climb the Seven Summits, visited RSMS January 11, 2018
Jordan spoke about
his climbing adventures, the mental and physical challenges he faced and how he wouldn’t have been able to accomplish these climbs, by the age of fifteen,
without the help and support of his parents.
He encouraged our students to ‘find their own Everest’ by
setting goals and pursuing their dreams “one step at a time.”
GENRE, GENRE, GENRE - LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
The library’s fiction section is now arranged by genre instead of by the author’s last name. Students come right in, go to a genre they like, i.e. HUMOR, browse the section and voila, they find a book they want to read. It is has made a real difference in the time students spend looking for books, they are discovering books they never noticed before and the signage makes browsing a breeze.
