Sophomore Info 9/7/18

Dear Parents/Guardians of Class of 2021:

Happy Friday!

Here are some dates and information that I would like to share with you.

Activity Bus:  Summit now has a bus available for resident (county) students participating in after-school activities/clubs.
  • Students must make their reservation!
    • Students who live in our school attendance boundaries will have opportunities to sign-up ahead of time for the activity bus. Students must reserve their space on the activity bus by 12:35 p.m. (the end of 3rd lunch) in order to use this service for that school day.  Students will always sign-up the very day in which they need transportation.
  • Students must remember to Sign-up!
    • Students will sign-up at the Welcome Desk in the commons at any point during the school day, before the end of 3rd lunch. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any student(s) failing to sign-up may not be permitted to ride the activity bus that day. This is to ensure that we have accurate student ridership information.  The buses will only accommodate a maximum of 48 students.  If numbers are consistently over 48 students, then the district will make accommodations to meet the demand.
  • Customized Activity Bus Stops!
    • Regional bus stops will be utilized and will include a variety of Summit school locations, subdivision entrances, safe intersections, and other centralized public drop-off points, such as recreation centers or apartment commons. Activity bus routes will be customized to ensure efficient routes as dependent on the reservation list for the school day
