The Rockwood School Board invites our community members to participate in a superintendent search forum and answer the question: What does it take to lead the Rockwood School District?
Many opportunities are available to allow our students, staff, parents and community members to share the qualities, skills and characteristics they would like to see in the next leader of the Rockwood School District.
As part of the School Board's work in conducting a search for the district's next superintendent, they hired a representative with Missouri School Board Association (MSBA) to facilitate two community forums:
Monday, Dec. 10, from 7-8 p.m. at the Lafayette High School Library located at 17050 Clayton Road in Wildwood
Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 7-8 p.m. at the Rockwood Summit High School Library located at 1780 Hawkins Road in Fenton
If you are unable to attend the community forums, please take time to complete the Superintendent Search Survey. The survey will be open until Dec. 11.
The purpose of these forums and survey is to gain a deeper understanding of the perceptions and expectations individuals have about leadership in Rockwood.
In October, Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost announced his intent to retire at the end of June. The School Board intends to have a new superintendent selected by spring 2019 and ready to start the new school year. Our Rockwood school community will continue to receive timely updates on the status of the superintendent search via the Rockwood website.
“This is an important decision, and we appreciate everyone’s input,” shared Rockwood School Board President Loralee Mondl. “We thank our school community for their continued interest and involvement in the success of our Rockwood students.”
