Activity buses are available for high school students who participate in after-school activities. Beginning Sept. 5, our schools will have buses available for resident after-school activity routes. These after-school activity routes are scheduled to leave our high schools at 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
Make your reservation!
Students who live in our school attendance boundaries will have opportunities to sign-up ahead of time for the activity bus. Students must reserve their space on the activity bus by 12:38 p.m. (at the end of lunch) in order to use this service for the school day.
Remember to Sign-up!
Please come to the Welcome Center/school office to sign-up. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Any student(s) failing to sign-up may not be permitted to ride the activity bus that day. This is to ensure that we have accurate student ridership information.
Customized Activity Bus Stops!
Regional bus stops will be utilized and will include a variety of Rockwood school locations, subdivision entrances, safe intersections, and other centralized public drop-off points, such as recreation centers or apartment commons. Activity bus routes will be customized to ensure efficient routes as dependent on the reservation list for the school day. These routes are scheduled to leave the high school at 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
Please note activity bus routes may be suspended during peak bus service times. We will provide advance notice to students and families so other arrangements can be made. (Typically, the peak time is during the Fall from Oct. 15 - Nov. 15 and again in the Spring from April 1- 30 on Tuesdays.)
Please stop by your school office for even more information, or speak to your high school office or the Transportation Department.
